Activities Within a one-hour drive of Drumkilbo are over sixty golf courses, ranging from championship links to quiet country courses. The nearest courses are located at Blairgowrie, Alyth and Forfar, with Blairgowrie having three courses, including Rosemount. St Andrews, the home of golf, is within easy reach. This historic university town boasts six courses, among them the Old Course, which is over 600 years old and is arguably the most famous course in the world. Tiger Woods won the Millennium Open there in 2000. Gleneagles and Carnoustie are also close by, the latter having won a reputation as one of the toughest tests in world golf after the 1999 Open.
Shooting parties can be arranged in season. Driven pheasant shoots, rough shooting and clay pigeon practice are all at hand. Cycling, horse-riding and hillwalking are all popular with our guests. Perthshire offers some
of the best walking country in Scotland. |
